True Vernon Huddleston, 78 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at his home in Seminole. He was born July 16, 1937 in Clayton, New Mexico to parents, Alice (Gonzales) Huddleston and Henry Baker Huddleston. On March 27, 1968 True married Barbara Young in Skellytown, Texas. True had lived in Borger, Texas prior to moving to Seminole, Oklahoma 45 years ago. True had worked as a butcher for 30 years in Texas then in Wewoka, Oklahoma at Meer’s Meat Processing Plant in Wewoka. He also had worked for Central Drilling Company in Oklahoma. True retired from Hayes Axle in Seminole in 1999 where he was a machine operator. True was a member of the Seminole Holiness Church located at 8th and Evans in Seminole, Oklahoma. True leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Kelly Joe Huddleston of Seminole, Oklahoma, Philip Dean Huddleston of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Dawn Huddleston Shull of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Alan Huddleston and his wife Donna of Borger, Texas; one sister, Jewel Burns and her husband Rev. William “Bill” Burner; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. True was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alice (Gonzales) Huddleston, by his wife, Barbara (Young) Huddleston who died August 25, 1997, by two brothers, Orvie Huddleston, and Liggie Huddleston. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, Texas.
