Trena Smithee

Trena Sue Smithee, 69, longtime Seminole resident went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, September 3, 2012 at her home in Seminole. Trena was born June 4, 1943 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Alfred Bus and Ida Marie (White) Montgomery. Trena, married Kenneth Gene Smithee on May 15, 1959 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and mother of six she pastored the Gospel Lighthouse Church west of Seminole for over 9 years. She was currently a member of the Temple of Praise Pentecostal Church of God in Seminole. Trena lived in Seminole for over 50 years. She enjoyed visiting with and praying for the hospitalized and home bound, helping those in need even in her later years when she was barely able to do so. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements in her spare time, giving them out to loved ones even at the memorial service after her passing. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smithee of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Welch of Purcell, Oklahoma and Kelly Houck and her husband Joey of Washington, Oklahoma; four sons, Ronald Smithee and his wife Connie of Wichita Falls, Texas, Darrell Smithee and his wife Tammy of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Mark Smithee and his wife April of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Mike Smithee of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two brothers Jim Montgomery of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Dr. Keith Montgomery of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five sisters, Joyce Gawf of Eufuala, Oklahoma, her twin-sister, Rena Blagrave of Midland, Texas, Kathy Hall, Marie Sellers, and Theresa Akers all of Eufaula, Oklahoma along with fourteen grandchildren Steven Smithee, Shawn Smithee, Jon Smithee, Cody Smithee, Blake Houck, Baily Smithee, Davin Smithee, Jeremiah Welch, Branden Welch, Jordan Welch, Kelsey Allspaugh, Shaina Smithee, Brie Smithee and Jenny Smithee and two great grandchildren Alec and Rihanna Welch. Her parents and two brothers, Woodrow and Harold Montgomery, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Temple of Praise Pentecostal Church of God at 1100 N. University in Seminole. Rev. Jeff Nance and Rev. Paul Gregg will officiate at the service with burial following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Ronald Smithee, Darrell Smithee, Mark Smithee, Michael Smithee, Joey Houck and Brett Breedlove. Honorary bearers will be Steven Smithee, Shawn Smithee, Jon Smithee, Cody Smithee, Blake Houck, Baily Smithee, Davin Smithee, Jeremiah Welch, Branden Welch and Alec Welch.
