Tony Felix Angelo, Jr., 68 longtime Konawa area resident, passed from this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Tony was born September 20, 1952 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Tony Felix Angelo, Sr. and Martha (Porter) Angelo. Tony grew up in Konawa, where he attended Konawa Public Schools and graduated from Konawa High School in 1970. He traveled all over the country and even set up home base in both Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas, but he always found his way back home to Konawa.
Tony was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and was a member of Tusekia Harjo Band and loved to tell stories that were handed down by his mother and elders. Tony was a piping designer, working both onshore and off shore in the Petro Chemical Industry. Tony’s love for his family and friends was significant. He loved his family dearly and loved to be around his friends every chance he got. He always bragged about his family to everyone he met, even to a stranger! If you knew Tony, you know he was the biggest OU fan there was and ever will be! He would always cheer for his Boomer Sooners. His smile and personality were larger than life and everyone that was ever around him has unforgettable memories to share.
Tony leaves to cherish his memory, three sons; Christopher Lynn Miller and his wife Rhonda of Tomball, Texas, Jon Angelo and his wife Ashley of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tony Ray Angelo of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two daughters; Robin Jester of Texarkana, Arkansas and Lindsey Baldwin and her husband Kellen of Claremore, Oklahoma, one sister; Ardeena Angelo of Eufaula, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren Jayci White, Cheyanne and Autumn Jester, Emily Stachelek, Kaylee and Jared Miller, Brett and Bailey LaFollette and Hudson and Riley Baldwin; his great grandchildren; Anslee and Adalyn White, Christopher, Ryan and Jaxon Stachelek.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frankie Wise and his grandparents Billy Porter and Lizzie (Possuk) Porter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday September 29, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, at 200 South Broadway in Konawa, Oklahoma, with Arthur Carpitcher officiating and Larry Harrison assisting. Burial will follow at the Porter/Angelo Family Cemetery Southeast of Konawa.
Casket bearers will be Christopher Lynn Miller, Jon Angelo, Tony Ray Angelo, Niles Johnson, Beau Johnson, Rick Jones and Kyle Verity. Honorary bearers will be Ronald Soap and Gregory Dodd.
Following the funeral service and burial, there will be a gathering for a meal at the Konawa Indian Mission Church for the family and friends.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
