Toni Diane Rawls

Toni Diane (Schornick) Rawls, 60 year old longtime Cleveland County resident, passed from this life on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was born June 8, 1955 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Clarence Franklin Schornick and Irma Louise (Barton) Schornick. Toni graduated from Noble High School in Noble, Oklahoma in 1973. Toni was a homemaker who loved to care for her family.  She loved to crochet, read, go camping and basically anything she could do outdoors even mowing the yard.  Toni loved animals and adored her two pets, her dog, Chancie and her cat, Stella.  She even enjoyed just sitting, and “People Watching”.  Her favorite holiday was Halloween, she would dress up in costumes and join the kids in all of the fun Halloween activities. Toni leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 15 years, Stephen Ray “Steve” Rawls of the home in Norman, Oklahoma; her mother-in-law, Leota Rawls of Norman, Oklahoma and formerly of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; one daughter, Desera Evans and her husband Scott of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Jack Schornick and his wife Glenda of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; two sisters, Jeannie McCaskill and her husband Bobby of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Brandy Gregg and her husband Robert of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Mallorie Sue Manning of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Carlye Danielle Dicketts of Wewoka, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Toni is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Franklin Schornick; by her mother, Irma Louise (Barton) Schornick Cook; and by her father-in-law, Doyle Rawls who died in 2011. The family will receive friends at Swearingen Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Bro. Glenn Peck officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Yogi Schornick, Clint Denney, Ryan Gregg, Bruce Floyd, Robert Gregg, and Scott Evans. Honorary Bearers will be: Bobby McCaskill, David Gregg, Tim Dicketts, Zack McCaskill, Jay W. McCaskill and Ricky Manning.
