Tommy Chance Smith, age 30 and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 in Konawa, Oklahoma. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Ed Bray will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. A register book is available for signing at the funeral home. Tommy was born January 8, 1987 in Ada, Oklahoma to Margaret (Wilson) Brown and Dennis Smith. He worked as a carpenter remodeling houses, and he married Cecelia Hodge February 4, 2016 in Konawa. Tommy loved to coon hunt, fish, and to aggravate his nieces and nephews and his children. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Smith of Ada; mother, Margaret Brown and Richard Bounds of Konawa; one son, Kaleb Coody of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Missie Rose Smith of Ada; two sisters, Stephanie Batt of Maud, Oklahoma, and Misty Nuncio of San Marcos, Texas; one niece and two great nieces; six nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Smith, one brother, Brian Smith on August 11, 2002; one son, Chance Smith; maternal grandparents, Ester and Raymond Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Clint Smith and Ethel Whelchel.
