“Tommy” Thomas Edward Miller, age 73 and a long-time Konawa resident, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma. A graveside service at Vamoosa Cemetery is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Kevin Wright will officiate. Casket bearers are Keith Miller, Kayson Miller, Randy Branscum, Rick Branscum, Steve Branscum, and Bobby Branscum. Honorary bearer is Joe Lewis. Tommy was born August 18, 1943 in Shamrock, Texas to Otto G. Miller and Dealva (Austin) Miller. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa. Tommy enjoyed trains, gardening, and riding his bike. He also enjoyed family, church, country and western music, cats, bowling, vacations, and eating out - especially Mexican food or catfish dinners. Tommy loved sending cards to his family and friends. He is survived by one brother, Sam Miller and wife, Kathy of Byng, Oklahoma; nephew, Keith Miller and wife, Janesa and their children, Jaylan and Kayson all of Byng, Oklahoma; and extended family, “ The Branscums”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Dealva Miller; infant sisters, Cora Ann, Deloris June, and Sheila Kay Miller; niece, Deanna Faye Miller; and great nephew, Zack Logan Cox.
