Tommy David McGehee, 86 Tommy David McGehee, lifelong Seminole county resident passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 86. Tommy was born on February 5, 1926 in Seminole county to parents, Carl McGehee and Myrtle (Hodges) McGehee. He attended school at Seminole and later he married Colleen (Rowe) McGehee on July 22, 1950 in Seminole, Oklahoma . Colleen preceded Tommy in death on April 5, 1997. Tommy served in the United States Army, stationed in New Mexico and Korea . After his military stay he worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a general labor and in the paint shop where he painted aircraft. Tommy loved working with his hands and therefore he was an avid wood craftsman and master carpenter. He also loved to fish for crappie. Tommy was a member of the Church of Christ at Little, Oklahoma . Tommy is survived by, 2 sons, Thomas David McGehee of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Danny Bruce McGehee of Seminole, Oklahoma, four brothers, Joseph Grant McGehee of Garber, Oklahoma, Clarence McGehee of Borger, Texas, Deloyd McGehee of Amarillo, Texas and Jerry McGehee of Seminole, Oklahoma. Tommy is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren with three on the way. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Colleen, brothers, William Bent McGehee, Harvey McGehee and sister Delores Foster. Funeral service for Tommy will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Church of Christ of Little, Oklahoma with Rusty Dawson officiating. Burial will take place at the Little Cemetery, Little Oklahoma. Casket bearers are: Cole McGehee, Doug Rozas, Billy Johnson, Daniel Sanders, Jason Sanders and Ken Long. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
