Tommy Franklin Chambers, 67 year-old life long Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born April 20, 1944 to parents Martha (Factor) Chambers and Lawrence Chambers. Tommy worked in construction and he also worked for the Seminole Company as an oilfield foreman when he became disabled in an oilfield accident. Tommy was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and a Veteran of the United States Army. He married June (Johnson) Chambers on June 24, 1967 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma she sadly preceded him in death on March 18, 1998. Survivors include his mother Martha Factor of Oklahoma City; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Julene Chambers of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Lydia June and James Overall of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenneth Chambers of Mounds, Oklahoma; three sisters, Wanda Bruner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ruby Rose of Seminole, Oklahoma and Lena McWethy of Ada, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, James Tommy Alan Overall, Ashley June Overall and Courtney June Chambers all of Seminole; one great-grandchild, Abrielle June Emma Overall of Seminole, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, June Chambers and by two brothers, Jessy Ray Chambers and Charles Edward Chambers. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery with Rick Harjo Officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
