Thomas Arthur ?Tom? Clark, 74-year-old longtime Maud resident passed from this life October 24, 2008 at his home in Maud, Oklahoma. He was born June 27, 1934 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Willie Byrd (Poplin) Clark and Ollie Mart Clark.rnrnTom graduated from Old High in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1953. Following graduation he served in the United States Army Reserve. He later worked as an electrician for Texas Electric as a lineman in Electra, Texas for 21 years. Then he worked for Sonat Offshore Drilling Company retiring in 2001 after 30 years of service. Following retirment Tom worked as a reserve deputy as a Pilot for the Pottawatomie Sheriff?s Department.rnrnTom married Billie (Castoe) Moody on December 12, 1980 in Maud, Oklahoma. He also is past president of the Lion?s Club in Electra, Texas. Currently he is a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma where he was serving as Church Secretary of the Sunday School Department.rnrnTom is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 28 years and former Pottawatomie County Court Clerk, Billie Clark of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Wade & Susie Clark of Maud, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela & Rex Huckaby of Pitkin, Colorado, Roshel & Stewart Stabel of Lakin, Kansas and Christy & Gary McClaskey of Maud, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, Emily Bell, Audrey Clark, Cody Clark, Cheyenne Smithson, Chelsea Smithson, Callie Smithson, Taylor Stabel, Jayce Stabel, Eryka Stabel, Savannah Kay Cook, Sydney McClaskey and Tanaya Hestrin;six great grandchildren, Olivia Clark, Lucas Clark, Jayden Bell, Jason Clark, Trey Hestrin and Zack Hestrin; and a host of other family and friends.rnrnTom is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bryant Scott Clark; one daughter, Tamara Kay Clark and by one brother, Harold Clark.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Maud, Oklahoma. Rev. Wayne Taylor and (Grandson) Cody Clark will officiate the service.rnrnCasket Bearers will be: Dewey Goodin, Jack Morris, Rex Huckaby, Kevin Cook, Gary McClaskey, Taylor Stabel, Jayce Stabel, Jake Jones and Wade Clark.rnrnHonorary Bearers will be: John Nuckolls, Luster Heffley and Charles Pierce.rnrnThe family has designated the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund as appropriate for memorials.
