Titus Marks, 80, of Delmont, SD Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Snake Creek Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Bill Hobia, officiating. A wake service was conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday, at the American Legion Hall in Wagner, SD with Pastor Randy Albertson, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with a wake service, On Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Snake Creek Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Burial is at the Snake Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Seminole, OK with military honors by the United States Air Force and Seminole Nation Honor Color Guard. Titus Paul Marks, 80, was born July 3, 1937. He blessed heaven with his presence on January 7, 2018. He passed away peacefully at his home, where he was the happiest. Titus was the child of Amos Marks and Lottie (Mitchell) Marks; husband of Bertha (Montgomery) Marks. They were married on January 26, 1979. Titus was father of Melissa, Vernon, Tina, Kimberly (Leland Ground), Olivia (Matthew Kastengren), Carol (Jason Dean), and Tiffany; grandfather of Jason, Anthony, Derrick, Jessica, Loren, Samantha, Stetson, Jack, Courtney, Brittney, Mattie, Joseph (Big handsome man Joe), Raygen, and Jason Jr. Titus was born in Dania, Florida. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving across the world from January 25, 1956 through September 25, 1959. He later met the love of his life, Bertha. Titus and Bertha spent 41 happy years together. He will best be known for his smile and the love he brought to everyone. Former co-workers say he whistled down the halls as he moved about. He retired after 33 years and 9 months of government service. Titus a loving and kind soul with a sense of sarcasm and wit to match. He was fatherhood at its’ perfection. He was never afraid to tell his family "I love you." His children were never at loss for love. Titus unconditionally supported his children, providing guidance and direction. Titus meant so much to so many because of his wisdom, support and loyalty. Looking down upon us in his lawn chair, fly swatter in hand, with a smile on his face and a "tee hee" under his breath, he must know his was a life well lived. He was always happy, always smiling, making days brighter wherever he went. His family is at peace knowing he is with his heavenly Father.
