Longtime Seminole resident Thurman Wayne Conger passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70. rn rnHe was born on August 12, 1936 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Jessie James and Dora (Kersey) Conger. He married Cheryl (Nickle) Conger on August 11, 1989 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was a self employed Auto Body repairman in Wewoka. He loved traveling back roads, hunting, fishing, going to the coffee shop and fixing up old cars. He loved spending time with his family.rn rnHis parents and one brother, Jack Conger, precede him in death.rn rnHe is survived by his wife Cheryl Conger of the home, one son, Sterling Conger of Garnett, Kansas, one daughter, Dana Mack of Washington State and three step-children; Chelly Jordan of Seminole, Mike Wells of Seminole and Monty Wells, brother, Floyd Conger of Wewoka and one sister and brother-in-law; Lena Sawyer and husband Judge of Wewoka, Oklahoma.rn rnFourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive him.rn rnFuneral services are scheduled for 10:30 am, Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Delmar Hume officiating.
