Thomas Ray " Tommy" Martin

Thomas Ray “ Tommy “ Martin, 85, Newalla, Oklahoma resident, died Friday September 11, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tommy was a longtime former Seminole resident. He was born August 23, 1930 in Seminole County to Thomas Ray and Dadia Jo (Robinson) Martin. Tommy was a Heavy Equipment operator for Silver Star Construction, had worked in the oilfields as a truck driver and at one time was a security officer at the University of Oklahoma. Tommy loved fishing and was a great father and grandfather and loved to be with his grandchildren. Tommy was married to Hedy June Martin for over 59 years and she preceded him in death on August 10, 2011. Tommy is survived by his children; Debbie Doner, Gary Martin, Cheryl Coley, Paula Dunn, Connie Black and Priscilla Keeley, two brothers Joe Don Martin and Mickey Lynn Martin and a sister Margret Ann Blakley, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Robert David Martin, and sister, Mary Elisabeth Downey. Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Little Cemetery. Casket bearers will be John Doner, Martin Dale Downey, James Doner, Kenneth Doner, Caleb Richardson and Jacob Richardson. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
