Thomas Jefferson Fixico

Thomas Jefferson Fixico, Sr. Lifelong Seminole County resident Thomas Jefferson Fixico, Sr. passed away on February 13, 2010 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 73. He was born on May 14, 1936 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to Edmond Smith and Magdaline (Tanyan) Fixico. He was a retired minister where he pastored at the New Hope Church.  He was also a former deacon and minister of Snake Creek Baptist Church.  He married Kate (Haag) Fixico on September 1, 1956 and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2009.  He leaves to cherish his memories six sons; Marlon Fixico of Washington, D.C., Edmond Fixico and wife Mariam of Parshall, N.D., Thomas Fixico and wife Lisa of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lorne Fixico and wife Kathy of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jerrald Fixico and wife Amy of Seminole, Oklahoma and Milo Harjo of Ada, Oklahoma, two daughters, Maurine Starr and husband Dwight of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Beverly Mason and husband Rusty of New Town, N.D., two brothers, Kenneth Fixico and wife Samaria of Seminole, and Samuel Fixico of Seminole, three sisters, Margaret Hobia and husband Bill of Seminole, Oklahoma, Geneva Lowe and husband Jackson of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Winona Washington and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Katie Fixico, three sisters, Myrtle Johnson, Gladys Kaskaske and Teresa Creek. A wake is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the New Hope Church.  Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Hope Church with a burial to follow at Snake Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Thomas Little and Rev. Jay Swallow will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Anthony Fixico, Devon Fixico, Darren Fixico, Thomas Hicks, Kenneth Fixico, Jr. and Samuel Scott. Honorary Bearers will be: Jackson Lowe, Bill Hobia Jr.,  Randy Billie, Steve Johnson, Dwight Starr, Charlie Haag and Curtis Johnson.
