Crooms passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his home in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 65.rnrnHe was born on April 28, 1943 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Leonard Crooms and Irene (Williams) Crooms-Burris.rnrnHe received his diploma from Seminole High School. He worked for Mr. and Mrs. Agar for over 25 years and Mr. and Mrs. Artman for over 20 years as a caregiver.rnrnHe was the oldest of 15 Children. He is survived by his mother, Irene Crooms-Burris of Seminole, Oklahoma, brothers; Alonza Burris of Edmond, Michael Burris of Konawa, Oklahoma, John Burris of Seminole, Oklahoma, Willie Burris of Wichita, Kansas, and Wallace Burris of Monmouth, Illonis, four sisters; Rose Burris of Seminole, Marshell Burris of Seminole, Yolanda Black of Dallas, Texas, Patsy Colbert of Edmond, Oklahoma, Marshell Burris of Seminole, Oklahoma, Cheryl Smith, Ellen Smith and Fondrea Crooms of Tulsa, Oklahoma. rnrnHe is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.rnHe is also survived by his extended family James and Jerelyn Agar, Lacy and Tony Barrett and their children, Tyler and Brian Barrett and Jim and Martha Artman all of Norman, Oklahoma. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Crooms and step-father, Lorenzo Burris, sister, Bertha Burris and brother, Rico Bernard ?Bud? Burris. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Ray Curry officiating.
