Thelma Ivalue Reese, 79, longtime Seminole resident died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Cedar Creek Living Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Thelma was born on May 8, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to her parents Lula Bell (Mills) and Hubbard Williams. Thelma grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools. She was a longtime member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Thelma was a domestic housekeeper for most of her life, helping many families in the Seminole community. Thelma is survived by four sons; Kelvin Reese of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Gilbert Reese and Mark Reese both of Seminole, Oklahoma and Jake Reese of North Carolina; four daughters Cassandra Fabre of Seminole, Oklahoma, Chiquita Overstreet and Karen Reese Williams both of Norman, Oklahoma and Paulette Reese of Seminole, Oklahoma, and her sister Lolita O’Guinn of Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was blessed with twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Preston Reese and one Son Edwin Cook. Funeral Service are planned for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole. Officiating preachers will be Dr. Doug Melton, Rev. Larry Payne, Rev. Richard Gaines and Pastor Tim Tate. There will be a family visitation where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 17, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home.
