Maud, resident Thelma Hayden passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 99. She was born on May 10, 1909 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to J.C. "Clint" and Mary Theresa (Slape) Armstrong.rnrnThelma, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnShe married "Walter" Sims in 1929 and later remarried J.C. "Johnny" Hayden, they both preceded her in death.rnrnThelma is survived by her son, William "Buddy" Sims of Oklahoma City and daughter, Wanda Knaus of Maud, Oklahoma and also by two sisters; Ester Gentry and Jean Lytle of Maud, Oklahoma. Thelma is survived also by 5 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.rnrnThelma is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. "Clint" and Mary "Mae" Armstrong, her first husband, Chesley C. "Walter" Sims and second husband, J.C.
