Theda Mae (White) Dressel, 68 Theda Mae Dressel, former Seminole resident, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 68. Theda was born March 2, 1946 in St. Louis, Oklahoma to parents, Alfred White and Lucille (Burgess) White. She grew up in Bowlegs, Oklahoma and lived many years in St. Louis, Oklahoma before moving to Canadian, Oklahoma in 1994. After graduation, she attended college and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She spent many years employed at the Seminole Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. Theda loved to garden and raise flowers, but her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, and spending time with them. She made quilts for each one and in 1991, she quilted a Desert Storm quilt, with an Eagle on the front, with the dates. Theda is survived by two sons, Tommy Darr of Seminole, Oklahoma, Richard Darr, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Patricia Sharp and her husband, Kenny, of Kansas, Oklahoma, Rachel Blackwell and her husband, Sean, of McAlester, Oklahoma; three brothers, Fred White and his wife, Judy, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Roger White and his wife, Pat, of McLoud, Oklahoma, Terry White of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Betty Wilson and her husband, Curtis, of Seminole, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Theda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lucille White, daughter-in-law, Diane Darr, one brother, Alfred White, Jr. and sister, Joyce Massengale.
