Thad Ashcraft

Lifelong Seminole resident Thad Lee Ashcraft passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 after a 2-year battle with cancer. He was born on January 14, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to William Edward and Mary Francis (Bow) Ashcraft. Thad married Teresa May (Kernal) on November 18, 1961 in Little, Oklahoma. Thad worked for as a Superintendent for Sun Oil Company for 17 years, he also worked as a Superintendent for Grand Resources and Landmark Energy.  After his retirement he worked as a consultant for Grand Resources in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He and his wife were members of the Church of Christ at Little. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 49 years Teresa Ashcraft of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law; Thad Lynn Ashcraft and wife Djuana of Edmond, Oklahoma and son Randy Lee Ashcraft and wife Shalia of Seminole, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by six grandchildren; Casady Lynn-Marie Ashcraft, Lexi Maylee Ashcraft, Taylor Lynn Ashcraft, Blake Edward Ashcraft and Jared Lane Ashcraft. He is preceded in death by his parents William Edward and Mary Francis Ashcraft and brother, Charles Edward Ashcraft. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Seminole Church of Christ located at 12040 N. Hwy 99 in Seminole with Rusty Dawson officiating.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hope Harbor, P.O.
