Terry Leon Harjo

Terry Leon Harjo passed away at the age of 39 on November 20, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on June 24, 1981 in Ada, Oklahoma to parents Ronnie Harjo and Mamie (Postoak) Harjo. He grew up and spent most of his life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a high school graduate and a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. He was baptized in March 1992 at Southern Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He married Melissa Harjo on April 13, 2007 at Rockwood Baptist Church.

Terry loved his job and his friends at Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma where he had worked for ten years. He was a member of the Bumble Bee Camaro Club and he loved his canary yellow Camaro. He enjoyed going to car shows, movies and his phone.

Terry was always smiling and always had a good word to start the day. The quote that Terry’s family liked was “I promise I will protect you, I may not be your real Superman, but I’ll always protect you until my last breath and will love you until the day I die”.

Left to cherish Terry’s memory are his wife Melissa Harjo, his son; Jacob Leon Harjo,  his daughters; Breanna Marie Harjo, McKayla Fae Harjo and Elexa Joliegh Harjo, his brother; Jacob Leon Harjo, his brothers; Ronnie Lee Harjo, Jr. and Randall Kyle Harjo and his maternal grandmother; Juanita Wise. Preceding him in death were his parents Ronnie Lee and Mamie Harjo.

Funeral services for Terry will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Snake Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Little officiating. Burial will follow at Hitchitee Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Matt Botone, Daniel Scott, Aaron Dilbeck and Jordan Carter. Honorary bearers will be Ramon Gonzales, Steve Harjo, Steve Barnett, Calvin Harjo, Isaac Harjo and Buddy Harjo, Jr.
