Terry Harjo

Terry Deon Harjo, 62 year-old lifelong Maud area resident passed from this life Saturday, February 25, 2012.  He was born February 17, 1950 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Leta Faye “Honey” (Price) Harjo and Charley Harjo. Terry graduated from Maud High School and later worked in the oilfield.  He was a proud member of the Seminole Nation and held to the native traditions. Terry is survived by his longtime companion, Pat Boren of the home; three sons, Charles Houston Harjo of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Terrence Lee “Levi” Harjo of Wolf, Oklahoma, Jeremy Harjo of Guthrie, Oklahoma; three brothers, Phillip Harjo of Wolf, Oklahoma, Sterling Harjo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Matthew Harjo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Gavin Deon Harjo, Jayden Harjo and Thaddeus Harjo. Terry is preceded in death by both of his parents. A memorial services is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Hershel Davis will officiate the service.
