Terry Lee Gray, 63, lifelong Seminole resident passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. Terry was born September 15, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jess Willard Gray and Helen Marie (Maddox) Gray. Terry grew up in Seminole and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, west of Seminole. Terry was a plumber for over 30 years with Jess Gray Plumbing Company in Seminole, before becoming the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Seminole. Terry was also a Reserve Police Officer for the Seminole Police Department. Terry loved deer hunting, coon hunting, playing music and hanging out with his family and friends. Terry married Jaunett Sue (Johnson) Gray on June 14, 1975 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Terry is survived by his loving wife Sue Gray of the home in Seminole, two sons, Scott Gray and his wife Lorrie of Seminole, Oklahoma and Donnie Gray and his wife Misty of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his daughter Kristi Creel and her husband Ryan of Seminole, Oklahoma, his step-mom; Mary Gray of Seminole, Oklahoma, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Danny and Tina Johnson and Garry and Sandy Kiker, sister-in-law Nancy Johnson, four grandchildren Wyatt Gray, Tanna Gray, Morgan Gray and Brody Creel and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Jess and Helen Gray, brothers Ray Gray and Bob Gray, his mother and father-in-law Rudy and Wanda Johnson and a brother-in-law Larry Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday January 6, 2018 at the Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, north of Seminole State College, with Pastor Jeff Nance and J.C. Simpson officiating. Burial will follow with Police Honor Guard Services at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Casket bearers will be Donnie Shaffer, Shane Marshall, Ed Lemmings, Tim Curry, Doug Ridge and Mike Grant. Honorary Bearers will be the officers and staff of the Seminole Police Department, City of Seminole staff, Seminole Fire Department, Randy Branscum, Rick Branscum, Steven Branscum, Bobby Branscum, Jack Thompson, Gale Parsons, Garland Blocker, John Gamble, Scott Neese and Zane White. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Seminole Police Department and Seminole Fire Department. Also a special thank you to Heartland Home Health and Hospice for taking such good care of Terry and his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund set up at Bank of the West in Seminole, Oklahoma.
