Teddie Rose Phillips, 78, longtime Maud, Oklahoma resident, died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her home in Maud, Oklahoma. She was born December 9, 1937 in Saint Louis, Oklahoma to parents Thurman Woody Gray and Glendoris (Tiffin) Gray. Teddie was a member of the People’s Church in Maud, Oklahoma, Eastern Star, Vice-President of the Senior Citizen’s Center and a member of the D.A.R. She loved sewing, ceramics, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She worked as a caregiver, nursing home nurse and cook. She is survived by the true love of her life, James Yeager of Maud, Oklahoma, sons: Willliam Andrew “Billy Hopkins and his wife Becky of Lebanon, Oklahoma, Woody Irvin Hopkins of Maud, Oklahoma, daughter Teresa Rose Hunt and her husband Randy of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, brothers Allen Gray and Woody Thurman “Jr”’ Gray both of Duncan, Oklahoma, sisters Linda Sue Lee and her husband Randy of Duncan, Oklahoma and Mary Ann Weddle of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, grandchildren Brian Hopkins and his girlfriend Kassi Davis of Madill, Oklahoma, Ben Hopkins and his wife Stefanie of Madill, Oklahoma, Brittney Mattly and her husband Chad of Madill, Oklahoma, Summer Bryant and her husband John of Madill, Oklahoma, Colby Hunt and his wife Christina of Owasso, Oklahoma and Shadow Hunt and his wife Jeka Alta of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; great grandchildren; Kyleigh Hopkins, Shaylee Hopkins, Chance Mattly, Kaitlyn Mattly, Autumn Bryant, Reagan Pidcock, Avery Hopkins, Nicole Mattly, Lily Bryant, Reagan Hopkins, Gavin Hunt, Silas Hunt, Liam Hopkins, Nolan Hunt, Aubri Hopkins, Landri Hopkins, Sophia Bryant and Sage Stiles. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mike Gray, first husband W.A. Hopkins and second husband Jerry Phillips. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the People’s Church on West Monroe in Maud, Oklahoma. James Burnell and James Crabtree will officiate at the service. Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
