Teddy R. “Ted” Haworth, 67 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Seminole Care and Rehabilitation Center in Seminole. He was born November 3, 1948 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents, Milton Haworth and Gracie Elizabeth (Stockham) Haworth. Following Ted’s graduation from Seminole High School in 1968 he went on to serve our Country in the United States Navy. He later went on to earn his associate degree from Seminole State College. Ted married Carolyn Sue Morrison on December 28, 1974 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Ted had worked as an ordained minister, and then as a truck driver for, Tiger Truck, Independent Tank Co., Oklahoma Liquefied Gas Co. and for the City of Seminole. He was a member of the Haney Methodist Church. Ted was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease several years ago. Even though he was forced to live with Parkinson’s, he continued to strive to overcome the obstacles that were thrown his way. He kept his sense of humor and love for his family. Ted leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Sue Haworth of the home in Seminole; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Holt of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three brothers, Ricky Haworth and his wife Patsy of Seminole, Oklahoma, David Haworth of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jeff Haworth of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Sharron Morris and her husband C.R. Morris of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Jerry Streets of Seminole, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Milton Haworth, by his mother, Gracie Elizabeth Haworth, by his twin brother, Eddie Haworth, and by one sister, Janet Streets. Private family services are scheduled. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
