Tara Dawn (Harjo) Baker , age 36 and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away from this life, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.

A Wake service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday Night, August 26, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa, Oklahoma.  Ellis Taylor and Rev. Drew Isaacs will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are B. J. Leach, Phillip Jackson, James Poe, Brandon White Eagle, Jared Factor, and James McHenry.  Honorary bearers are Al Brown, LeRoy Ishcomer, Jeremy Redbird, Kristopher Redbird, and Devon Fobb.

Tara was born October 14, 1983 in Ada, Oklahoma to Nathan Harjo and Julia (Walton) Harjo.  She graduated from Konawa High School and attended Seminole State College.  She was the Scheduling Specialist for Chickasaw Nation Transportation.  Tara was a member of Johnson Chapel in Allen, Oklahoma, and she loved playing music with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacy Harjo and Emily Redbird, both of the home; one sister, Melissa Harjo also of the home; and the Harrison family whom she considered as her adopted family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Julia Harjo, and one son, Eli Larney.
