Talon Fletcher

Talon James Fletcher, 17 year-old lifelong Maud, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma following a tragic 4-wheeler accident.  He was born September 11, 1995 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Crystal Dawn (Kerr) Fletcher and Robert James “Rob” Fletcher.  Talon had just finished his sophomore year at Maud High School where he loved to play football proudly wearing #70.  He was named the District Offensive Lineman of the year, and he was also named All-District.  Talon also played basketball for the Maud Tigers. Talon was a member of the Seminole First Baptist Church and had asked our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his heart. He would witness to others through the word of God and by his actions and kindness. Talon leaves to cherish his memory his mother and step-father, Crystal and Chris Sparks of Maud, Oklahoma; his father and step-mother, Rob and Stephanie Fletcher of Seminole, Oklahoma; maternal grandparents, Randy and Sandy Kerr of Maud, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother, Colleen Fletcher of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, David James Fletcher of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jacee Sparks and Westie Sparks both of Maud, Oklahoma; step-grandparents, Jim and Reba Sparks of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Ray and Jo Bateman of Wolf, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Talon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Fletcher, who died on May 23, 1998. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Maud High School Gymnasium with Rev. Rusty McMullen officiating the service assisted by Josh Pollock and Artie Hudson.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.  Casket Bearers will be Bruce Harrell, Tom Jackson, Adam Hawkins, Eric Stinnett, Ethan Stinnett and Stacy Regan. Honorary Bearers will be the Maud High School Football team.
