Sybil Shawn

Sybil Muriel Shawn, 89 Sybil Shawn of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Greenwood, Arkansas at the age of 89. Sybil was born August 2, 1922 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to parents James William McDowell and Ruby Sloam (Rutherford) McDowell. Sybil was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Cagle Shawn. Sybil is survived by one son, Rueben Cagle of Pampa, Texas; one brother, Jim McDowell of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Laura of Hawaii. Two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive her. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wolf Cemetery in Seminole county. Services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
