Susan Carolyn (Willard ) Driggers, 65, Seminole resident, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Susan was born on April 3, 1950 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Arlton Texas Willard and Violet Lee (Phifer) Willard. Susan grew up in the Tishomingo and Milburn area and attended and graduated from Milburn High School in 1968. Susan was a Christian and a member of the Bowlegs Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She moved to the Seminole/Bowlegs area 22 years ago from Milburn, Oklahoma. Susan loved gardening, collecting rocks, watching and feeding birds and being with her grandchildren. She loved horses and was a former rodeo queen and played on 1968 State Basketball runner-up team for Milburn High School. She attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and later attended and received her masters of education in teaching from Southeastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma. Susan married Charles David Driggers on February 22, 1969 in Denison, Texas. She is survived by her husband Charles David Driggers of the home, her daughter Michelle Rena Nelson of Seminole, Oklahoma and her son David Garrett Driggers and his wife Teresa Bear Driggers of Seminole, Oklahoma; grandchildren Beau Charlie Driggers and Libby Ranae Driggers; her siblings Naketta Willard Nichols and her husband Don of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Norma Willard Chaney of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Joyce Willard Kopczynski and her husband Don of McKinney, Texas, Antoinette Willard Ardrey and her husband Bob of Salina, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Joseph Driggers and siblings Richard Willard and Royce Willard. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Jason Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Condon Grove Cemetery east of Tishomingo, Oklahoma near Milburn, with David Boggs officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home.
