Summer Rose Barnett

Summer Rose Barnett, 39, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Summer was born November 17, 1980 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Joe Ray Barnett and Teresa Marie Edmondson.

Summer was a tribal member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Summer married John Bowman on February 14, 2016.

Summer is survived by her husband; John Bowman, her mother; Teresa Edmondson, three sons Harley Lovett of Wewoka, Oklahoma, JohnBoy Bowman and Deven Bowman both of Westville, Oklahoma, four daughters; Kaylee Lovett, Alysa Lovett, Makia Marzett all of Seminole, Oklahoma and Naomi Bowman of Westville, Oklahoma, one brother; Geoff Hitcher of Stilwell, Oklahoma seven sisters; Shannyn Barnett of Seminole, Oklahoma, Suzanne Barnett and Shaleah Barnett both of Maud, Oklahoma, Chelsea Jo Long of Ramona, California, Carly Hitcher of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Leah Hunter of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Melissa Downing, two grandchildren; Blayne Lovett and Jayse Lovett.

Summer was preceded in death by her father Joe Barnett, her sister Misha Downing and daughter, Shilynn Lovett.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at the Tiger Family Cemetery in Wolf, Oklahoma.

Casket bearers will be Michael Kelough, Zachary Kelough, Nicholas Barnett, Chevy Lovett, Brett Benfield and Brandon Bowman.

Honorary bearers will be Stuart Lincoln, Jordan Barnett, Isaac Barnett, Shane Bowman.

Social distancing is encouraged as there will be limited seating.

Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is charge of arrangements.
