Sue Null

March 18, 1935 — October 18, 2012

Sherrill Sue (Hause) Null, longtime Seminole resident died Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born March 18, 1935 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Caleb W. and Marqueite M. (Foster) Hause. Sue was a customer claims representative for Sullivan-Dollar Insurance Company  in Seminole, Oklahoma, she retired in 2001. Sue was raised in Seminole at the Carter Oil Camp south of Seminole on Harvey Road. She attended and graduated from Seminole High School in 1953. While growing up Sue was fond of horses and as soon as she was considered old enough, she joined the Seminole Roundup Club and traveled to several towns participating in the rodeo parades. Sue was an avid sports fan and a very good athlete.  She won the State doubles tennis championship her junior and senior years.  For this she was inducted into the Seminole High School Hall of Fame in 2005. Sue met and fell in love with Ronald Null and on July 8, 1965 they were married in Cleburne, Texas by the former pastor of Seminole First Baptist Church, Rev. Fling.  When she married Ron, she also became Mom to Ron’s son, Richard “Ricky” Null. Sue went to work after graduation for Sullivan-Dollar Insurance Co. for a total of 23 years.  She was working there when Ron got a job in Arizona and she soon adapted to the desert life.  She loved to play golf and the Arizona climate allowed her to play 12 months a year.  She always made the comment that “it doesn’t get any better than this”.  After spending 18 years in the Arizona desert Ron’s job took them to the cold country of Alaska.  She loved the outdoors while in Alaska even though it didn’t allow for much golf.  However, it did provide her with some great fishing experiences, which almost made up for the lack of golfing.   Sue was a dedicated Christian. Faithful in the study of God’s Word and an advocate of the Christian faith.  She became a member of the Seminole First Baptist Church when she was a child and joined her home church again after moving back to Seminole in 1992. Unfortunately Sue was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in January, 2004.  Sue was strong and put up a brave battle against the disease. Sue is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home, nephews Max Hause and Mary of Seminole, OK., Caleb Hause  and Nancy of Oklahoma City, Ok., Mark Hause & Coleen of Eugene, OR., & brother-in-law Bill Null and Patricia of Mustang, OK. Sue was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Caleb, Wayne and Jerry Hause, sisters Audie Brown and Betty Hause and son Richard “Ricky” Null.
