Steven Walter Snodgrass

Steven Walter Snodgrass, 36, Maud resident, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Purcell, Oklahoma.   Steven was born February 11, 1979 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Terri Jean (Snodgrass) and Mark Elroy Crawford. Steven grew up in Maud, Oklahoma and attended Maud Public schools. He graduated from Maud High School where he was an outstanding athlete in basketball, football and baseball.   Steven worked on oil rigs as a motor man, in the Seminole area oilfields. He loved the outdoors, grilling, noodling, hunting, being with his family and children. Steven had a big heart and loved life and will be missed greatly.   Steven is survived by his mother Terri Crawford of Maud, Oklahoma, his father Mark Crawford of Bristow, Oklahoma, three sons Thorne Snodgrass, Hayden Snodgrass and Guston Snodgrass all of New Lima, Oklahoma, two brothers Jeff Snodgrass of Maud, Oklahoma and two sisters Tamra Fleming of Maud, Oklahoma and Teresha Fowble of Wellston, Oklahoma, his former wife and mother of his children Sarah Harper of New Lima, Oklahoma and his dear friend Mandy Hightower of Purcell, Oklahoma.   He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Gracie and Jim Snodgrass, special uncle Shorty Snodgrass and uncle Jack Snodgrass.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Trinity Baptist Church at Maud, Oklahoma with Bro. Butch Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery south of Seminole.   Casket bearers will be Corky Snodgrass, Louis Snodgrass, Colter Snodgrass, Dustin Fowble, Jeff Snodgrass and Jeremiah Jordan. Honorary bearers will be, Greg Pierce, Frankie Walker, Justin Hightower, Jim Snodgrass and Jon Fleming.   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud, Oklahoma.
