Stephen Loyd Chesser

Stephen Loyd Chesser, 69, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Steve was born December 30, 1952, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to parents Donald Chesser and Patricia (Hoover) Chesser. Steve grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole High School where he dominated in tennis and represented the school at State. After high school, he attended and graduated from Central State University. After working as IT consultant at ComEd and Ace Hardware, he retired in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Steve was an avid golfer, fisher, and enjoyed spending time at Lake Tenkiller. Family and friends were very important to him and he always enjoyed spending time with them. Steve was a great family man and a loving father.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Chesser on April 4, 2020 and Patricia Chesser on January 1, 1971. He is survived by his children; Abigail Chesser and Hannah Uhl and her husband Jeffrey Uhl; as well as his sister, Dawn Eaves and her husband Danny Eaves; and his brother Chris Chesser and his wife Kristi Chesser; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole and will be open to the public. Doug Melton will officiate the memorial services. Arrangements for the memorial service are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
