Stephen Jay Brooks

Stephen Jay Brooks, 58, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life on July 10, 2020 at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Stephen was born April 22, 1962 at Salem, Oregon to Jimmie C. Brooks and Jo Ann (Lingar) Brooks.

Stephen was an auto mechanic at Willie’s Auto Salvage in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.

Stephen is survived by his son Kenneth Brooks and his wife Lena of Seminole, Oklahoma, his daughter Stephanie Smith and her husband Jaron of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two brothers Richard Brooks and Darryl Brooks and two sisters Sandra Brooks  and her husband Charles Cox and Patricia Green,  five grandchildren; Christopher Brooks, Jaclynn Brooks, Alexis Brooks, Isbella Brooks and Grayson M. Smith. Brother-in-law John Green preceded Stephen in death.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma was in charge of Cremation arrangements.
