Stella Mae Peoples, 71, longtime Seminole resident died Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Stella was born on May 10, 1939 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to James Marion and Viola (Adkins) Addington. Stella, moved to the Seminole area at an early age, and was a nursing assistant for most of her working career. She was a member of the Coney Island Tabernacle church in Seminole. Two sons, Mickey Peoples of Purcell, Oklahoma and Sterling Peoples of Burkburnet, Texas and a daughter Shirley Sandfur of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, survive Stella. Two sisters Marie Farris and Linda Arnold of Purcell, Oklahoma, five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survives her. Her parents, her husband Albert Leroy Peoples in 1975, and three brothers, Douglas, Kenneth and Neil Addington, preceded her in death. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Grace Community Church in Vamoosa, Oklahoma. Rev. Charles Troglin, Rev. Drew Issacs and Rev. Johnny Campbell will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Curtis Arnold, Brandon Sandfur, James Shaw, Frank Kelley, Clint Hanks and Scotty Hanks. Honorary bearers will be Mike Farris, Travis Farris, Galand Kelley, Tony Burleson, Josh Carpitcher, Tollee Mixon, Billy Dixon, and Dean Kelley Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
