Stefan Lee Harjo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stefan Harjo who passed away on 02/13/2025.

Stefan Harjo was born on 04/25/1973 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Sebert Lee and Esther Lee Harjo. Stefan was a graduate of Wewoka High School and then worked as an electrician, plumber, and carpenter. He met the love of his life, Angela, while working for Seminole Nation. 

He was known for his impeccable grilling skills, artistic abilities, and unmatched construction capabilities. Stefan would jump into action to help anyone in need and had an immense love for his family and friends. 

Stefan is survived by his wife, Angela Harjo; three children, Stefani, Naomi, and Ethan; mother, Esther Harjo; “Pops”, Jose; his sisters, Shereena Miller, Krista Glidden (Randy), and Sunny Bevenue; parents-in-law, Johnny and Becky Watkins; brothers-in-law, Jonathon Watkins (Penny), Daniel Watkins (Albee), and Ben Watkins (Laura); grandchildren, Nataya, Trimaine, Michael Jr., and Micco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stefan was preceded in death by his father, Sebert Lee Harjo; his sister, Tonya Walton; his nephew, Trevor Robertson; and his grandson, Kory Wilmoth.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21st at 1pm at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20th from 1pm – 7pm at the funeral home.

Stefan will be laid to rest at Wewoka United Indian Methodist Church Cemetery in Yeager, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
