Seminole

Stanley Wayne “Stan the Man” Kiker, 83, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at his home. Stan was born March 22, 1938 at his home in Wolf, Oklahoma to Agnes Florene (Braboy) Kiker and Marvin Leroy Kiker. Stan grew up in the Wolf and Bowlegs area and attended school there where he played baseball.

Stan worked for V.F. Nichols at the Seminole Discount Lumber in Seminole for over 35 years before purchasing the lumber yard from Mr. Nichols, which was located on North Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma. Later Stan sold the lumber yard and became an independent construction contractor in the Seminole area.

Stan loved baseball, fishing, growing tomatoes, crappie fishing with his wife Norma every weekend at Eufaula Cove Marina. Stan also loved traveling all over to watch his grandchildren play ball, driving his tractor, mowing grass and visiting with people, and was known as a person who “never met a stranger”. After high school, the St. Louis Cardinals held tryouts at Oiler Park in Seminole and Stan was invited to try out for the major league team. Stan had many friends and it always seemed like everywhere he went he would run into someone he knew.

Stan is survived by his two sons: Kurt Kiker of Seminole, Oklahoma and David Kiker and his wife Terresa of Seminole, Oklahoma, his sister Carolyn Douglas of Wolf, Oklahoma area, his grandchildren; Staci Hayes, Derek Kiker, Kolten Kiker and Kendell Kiker and two great grandchildren; Jackson Clubb and Spencer Clubb.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Kiker and Mother Agnes Kiker, his brother Gene Kiker and his loving wife Norma Kiker who died September 6, 2021.
