Stanford "Tinks" Carlos Wells

Seminole resident Stanford “Tinks” Carlos Wells passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his home.

Stan was born to Henrietta Brown on July 25, 1942, in Pawnee, Oklahoma.  Stan graduated from Chilocco Indian School in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  On July 9, 1984 he married Pauline “Polly” Cortez, in Shawnee.  Stan was a cross country truck driver, operating SCW Trucking, he really loved driving trucks.

Stan was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Brown and a son, Nathan Wells.

He is survived by wife, Polly of the home; children Robert “Robbie” Wells and his wife Barbara of Moore, Sheila Bennett of Ada, and Jamie and Michael Stuckey Ardmore; grandchildren, Mandy Bennett of Ada and Raylee Stuckey of Ardmore; and many other family and friends.

Services will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. Casket bearers will be Michael Stuckey, Manuel Perez, Kevin Cortez, A.J. DePhillips, Robbie Wells and Justin Smith. Honorary bearers will be David McZegle and Matt Harjo.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
