Spirit Lloyd Sires

Spirit Lloyd Sires, 37, Seminole resident died at his home in Seminole on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Spirit moved to Seminole from Pottsboro, Texas in 2010. He was born August 17, 1973 in West Monroe, Louisiana to Jerry Mathews and Angel (Bagwell) Mathews. Spirit was a computer graphic designer and website designer. His passion was art. He was an artist who traveled around to several states painting murals on walls of public places, businesses and homes. His work is also displayed in museums in Texas.  Spirit lived in Pottsboro, Texas for many years and attended Grayson County College, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa- omicron psi Chapter. Spirit is survived by his wife Julie M. Sires of Pottsboro, Texas, his children Natalie and Robert Griffin of Pottsboro, Texas. his mother Angel of Shreveport, Louisiana, his grandmother Margaret Tennant of San Marcos, Texas,  a brother Roger Brantley of Keithville, Louisiana and a step-brother Kirk Whitson of Durant, Oklahoma. He is preceded by his father and step-mother Jerry and Alice Mathews and a brother Gary Whitson  Private family services are planned for a later date, following cremation services on Wednesday.
