Sonya Gwyn (Wise-Talamasey) Pohlemann

Sonya Gwyn (Wise-Talamasey) Pohlemann, 50 year old, lifelong Seminole County resident passed from this life on Monday, June 30, 2014 in Maud, Oklahoma.  She was born September 15, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents Sally (Wise-Talamasey) Wolf and to Raymond Wolf. Sonya attended school in Tulsa before moving to Seminole County as a young person.  She was a member of Hitchittee Indian Methodist Church.  She was also a proud member of The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma where she was part of the Hvteyievlke band. Sonya worked in the fast food industry until later becoming a caregiver.  She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.  She liked to play bingo and take care of her family.  Sonya also found a lot of enjoyment going to pow-wows and taking long drives around Oklahoma. Sonya married Gary Pohlemann, Jr. in 2003 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Survivors include her father, Raymond Wolf of Seminole, Oklahoma; her husband of 11 years, Gary Pohlemann, Jr. of the home; one son, Cory Nedd of Seminole, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Sonya was preceded in death by her mother, Sally (Wise-Talamasey) Wolf, by one brother, Alan Hulbutta and by one infant son, Johnny Joe Fixico. Wake services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hitchittee Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Deer officiating. Funeral services will be held at Hitchittee Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014.  Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.  Rev. Rick Deer will officiate the service. Casket Bearers will be: Kevin Pohlemann, Will Pohlemann Sr., William Pohlemann Jr., Dezmen Rose, Aden Talamasey, and Josh Deatherage.
