Shirley Ann Rains, lifelong Konawa resident, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Carl Albert Indian Health Center in Ada at the age of 59.rnrnShe was born August 13, 1948 in Konawa to David Rains and Mattie (Morgan) Rains.rnrnShirley was a loving homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.rnrnShe is survived by two daughters, Jody of Arkansas and Jerry Dean Cabler of Texas;rnrntwo brothers, Charles Rains of Ravenden, Arkansas and Arthur Carpitcher of Konawa; rnrntwo sisters, Chris Leatherman of Saginaw, TX and Rosalie Bounds of Konawa; rnrnnumerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.rnrnShe was a special "Grandma" to Elijah, Malachi & Caleb.rnrnShe was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leroy and Eddie Rains. rnrnA wake services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.rnrnFuneral services will be on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Bro. Arthur Carpitcher and Bro.
