Seminole resident Shirley Ann Morris, 68, passed away on Tuesday, June 15.
Shirley, the daughter of Henry LT Canaday and Ethel Roberta (Halstead) Devlin, was born March 6, 1953 in Tempe, Arizona. Shirley had an associate’s degree in computer science and spent her career doing secretarial work. On January 4, 1970, she married Robert Stephen Morris in Ada. Shirley enjoyed doing crochet, watching television crime dramas, going to the Seminole Senior Center to shoot pool, and going to the VFW with her dear friend Jo Ann Richardson. She was also an avid gamer, playing all kinds of video games on her gaming console. But more than anything Shirley loved spending time with her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Stephen Neill; and a son-in-law, Eddie Ace Neill.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, LeaCarol Neill, and Dinette and Vernon Wren; brothers, Robert Lee Vanbrunt, Samuel Don Vanbrunt, and Michael Ray Vanbrunt; a sister, Brenda Lee DelaO; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Bost, Jonathon Dee Wren, Legend LeeMichael Burrier, and Legacy Dawn Burrier; great grandchildren, Dakota Ray, Leon Steven, Eva Marie, and Daxton Ray; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be Monday, June 21, at 5:00 PM at Lord’s Community Church in Seminole, with Rev. Juanita Moreland officiating.
