Sherry Dobson

Sherry A. Dobson, Shawnee resident, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 62. Sherry was born on May 19, 1962 in Shreveport, LA to Holly and Joani Spangler. She spent her entire adult life in Oklahoma with her husband and his family. She married the love of her life, James Dobson on August 27, 1988 in Bentonville, AR.

Sherry enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cleaning. She was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother. 

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Randi Spangler. 

Sherry is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Dobson; daughter, Jessica Dobson; brother, Rick Spangler; sister, Cindy Spangler; granddaughter, Emerie Dobson and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at a later time.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
