Lifelong Seminole resident Sherry Lynn Chambless passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 52. rnrnSherry was born on November 19, 1956 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Clyde Elmer Seay and Edith Irene (Dunn) Harper. rnrnSherry married Michael Chambless on August 27, 1988 at Cedar Vail Garden?s outside of Davis, Oklahoma. rnrnSherry?s passion was teaching. She graduated from Seminole State College and East Central University with a degree in Education. She taught at Crooked Oak Elementary, New Lima Elementary, and Seminole Public Schools. At the time of her death, she was teaching 4th grade students at Northwood Public School in Seminole. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole. rnrnSherry is survived by her husband Mike Chambless of the home, her mother, Edith Irene Dunn of Seminole, two sons: Kevin Lyle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Casey Lyle of Seminole, and daughter Brittany Chambless of the home, two step-children: Jason Chambless of Davis, Oklahoma and Christy Lewis of Reddick, Florida. rnrnShe is also survived by one brother, Ron C. Seay and one sister, Pamela Jean Blalock both of Seminole, Oklahoma. A host of other family and dear friends also survive her. rnrnShe is preceded in death by her father Clyde E. Seay. rnrnA visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 4-6pm at Swearingen Funeral Home. rntttrnFuneral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
