Sherre Lynn Sexton Vincent

Sherre Lynn Sexton Vincent, age 57 and a resident of Lexington, Oklahoma, passed away at home on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Ron Vansil will officiate, and Elder Charles Miller will assist.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Roger Forney, Rosemarie Crawford, Romon Jones, Tim McMullen, Glenna Frawner, and Robert Barnes.  The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11th at the funeral home. Sherre was born on July 6, 1957 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Jasper Sexton and Shirley (Jamison) Sexton.  After graduation, Sherre became a Correction Officer and worked for Lexington Correctional Center for approximately twenty-seven years.  She married Eric Vincent on May 15, 1989 in Lexington, Oklahoma.  Sherre enjoyed reading and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Eric Vincent of the home; parents, Jasper and Shirley Sexton of Konawa; two daughters, Jamie Eaker of Onsted, Michigan and Melissa Rogers of Ada, Oklahoma; one step-son, Keidrick Stevenson of Texas; two step-daughters, Erica of Oklahoma City, and Shelly of Choctaw; one brother, Tommy Sexton of Konawa; two sisters, Darlene Foster of Edmond, Oklahoma and Sharlene Genee of Somerset, Michigan; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made for funeral expenses at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.
