Sherlene Rusha Nichols

Sherlene Rusha Nichols , age 64 and a resident of Wewoka Care Center in Wewoka, Oklahoma passed away January 7, 2022 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Winston Manning will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, and casket bearers are Victor Nichols, Gary Wurtz, Jr., John Gomez, Brian Stevens, Ferrell Warrior, and Mike Holder.

Sherlene was born January 27, 1957 in Oakland, California to Carl Eugene Nichols and Velma (Birdwell) Nichols.  She was of the Pentecostal faith, and she was loved by her family.

She is survived by four sisters, Doris Janell (Nichols) Luttrell of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jeannie (Nichols) Gomez also of Shawnee, Brenda Nichols of Wewoka, and Lorie (Nichols) Stroud of Seminole, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl Eugene Nichols, Jr.
