Sheri Eileen Glover Swanda of Newalla, Oklahoma was born on February 19, 1948 in Stroud, Oklahoma, and passed from this world on June 6, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Gene and Vivaree Glover and her first husband Robert Dawson. She is survived by her husband David Swanda of Newalla, Oklahoma, her brother Gary Glover and his wife Mary Ninman-Glover of Checotah, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several much loved dogs, but is no doubt now enjoying the company of many dogs that preceded her in death. Sheri graduated from Stroud High School in 1966, and attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services starting her career in Seminole County and later transferring to the Central Office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She retired from Department in 2005 as an Administrative Officer after 32 years of dedicated service to the State of Oklahoma and her clients that she helped receive services. Sheri enjoyed her family and spent many hours visiting her parents in Seminole and attending to their needs in their later years. She always had a dog, even as a child. Her happy time was sitting with her dogs in her lap and at her feet. During her last year of life while struggling with her cancer, she received many encouraging visits and phone calls from her cousins Narva, Joyce, Steve, Charlie and Dwight. She was loved by her immediate and extended families, and will be missed. Graveside services will be held, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Okla. Prior to the graveside service there will be a reception with viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home.
