Sheri Criswell

Sheri Sue Criswell (Veitenheimer) passed from this life on Sunday, April 18, 2010, having survived breast cancer since 1983. Sheri was born January 25, 1950 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Peter P. Veitenheimer, Jr. and Aly’ce Veitenheimer (Green).  Sheri attended Strother High School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center Dental Hygiene School.  She was a Registered Dental Hygienist and a member of the American Dental Association.  She excelled in her profession for 25 years.  The first 9 years she worked for Dr. Jack Randolph and in Seminole before moving to Dr. Robert Gerety’s office in Henryetta, Oklahoma.  She also worked in Tulsa and Wisconsin. Sheri always had a smile and friendly hug to all.  She gave freely of her time and resources to those in need.  Sheri enjoyed traveling, shopping, and making people laugh.  She remembered everyone’s birthday and made an effort to wish them a happy one. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Peter P. Veitenheimer, Jr., her “Dad” Mr. J. Wendell Scott, grandparents, Mr. Peter P. Veitenheimer, Sr. and Grace Veitenheimer (Bruno), and Mr. William H. Green and Mary A. Green (Bauschka). Sheri is survived by her daughter, Khara Elisabeth Suzanne Criswell and son-in-law, Gabriel G. Schuetzner, Shawnee, Oklahoma, her mother Mrs. J. Wendell Scott, brother, Gary Veitenheimer and sister-in-law Penny Veitenheimer, Seminole, Oklahoma, and sister Laura Scott Kincade and brother-in-law Kevin Kincade, nieces, Kendell Erin Kincade and Khanaa Scott Kincade of Seminole, Billi Wright, Bobbie Vincent and nephews, Glendon Gouker and Kyle Gouker, aunt Annette Miller of Sasakwa, Oklahoma and many dear cousins and friends.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will begin on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.  The family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
