Shelly Raniece Whitlock-Robertson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45 on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Apopka, Florida. Shelly was born January 10, 1975 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Gary Dean Whitlock and Carolyn Sipes Whitlock. She spent her childhood in Wewoka and graduated from Wewoka High School.
Shelly was a loving mother, partner, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece and friend. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost and her boys were the most important of all to her. She treasured and embraced every moment with them. Shelly will be forever missed and remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, her caring heart, her loving embrace and unconditional love she gave to all she loved.
Shelly is survived by her mother and stepfather; Warren and Carolyn Ramsey, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, her sons; Sammy and Glade Robertson of Clermont, Florida, her partner of 7 years, Landry Burns of Apopka, Florida, her brother; Chris Whitlock and his wife Kari and their daughters, Taylor and Kaitlyn of Red Rock, Texas, stepbrother; Ryan Ramsey and his wife Kristy of Muskogee, Oklahoma, grandmother; Loeva Sipes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, uncles; Billy Don Sipes of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Ronnie Sipes, Sr. and his wife Debbie of Mcloud, Oklahoma, aunt; Susan Sipes of Shawnee, Oklahoma, uncle; Clayton Whitlock, Sr. and his wife Linda of Wewoka, Oklahoma, aunt; Connie Percy of Holdenville, Oklahoma and many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; Gary Dean Whitlock and several other close family members and friends.
The graveside service for Shelly will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma where she will be laid to rest next to her father Gary Dean Whitlock. Dan Factor will officiate the service. At the family’s request, there will be no viewing of Shelly at the funeral home or at the cemetery.
Shelly will be carried to her grave with love and care by her stepfather Warren Ramsey, her stepbrother Ryan Ramsey, her uncle Ronnie Sipes, Sr., cousin Ronnie Sipes, Jr. and lifelong friends Brad Lindaman and Scotty Taylor.
There are not enough words to express how special a person Shelly was to everyone and how much she was loved and how much she will be missed. Now it is time for her to be with our loving God.
The family has requested that those that attend Shelly’s service please wear a mask and to avoid hugging and handshaking to keep everyone save from COVID 19.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
