Shelby was born June 21, 2000 in Ada, Oklahoma to Scott David Gentry and Angie Grace (Russ) Gentry.  She came into this world a feisty, strong-willed redhead, ready to take on anything and everything.  Shelby loved playing softball and basketball.  She excelled in anything she set her mind to.  Shelby graduated from Konawa High School in 2018 with a 4.0 average and was one of the valedictorian graduates of Konawa High School that year.  She also earned All-state Basketball Honors and All-state Slow-pitch Softball Honors.  She had a beautiful smile and a personality that was contagious.  She loved with all of her heart, and she always wanted to make others feel very special and convincing them there was nothing in the world they couldn’t accomplish.  She loved and cared for others so hard - often times putting everyone else’s needs above her own.  Shelby had a zeal for life.  She was born with a purpose to share her beautiful heart with anyone she came in contact with.  She not only believed in her faith in God, she wanted to share it and help anyone who wanted to know about Him.  She would plant the seed, and then be there for you along the path to salvation.

Shelby’s work ethic, just like everything in her life, was done with full speed ahead.  She graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University, May 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-med Biology and a minor in American Sign Language.  Shelby loved her time at OSU making great friends, no matter where she was.  She became part of the BCM family while at OSU.  She wore her “orange power” with great pride.  She was applying and interviewing for physician’s assistant school while working at Simmons Bank in Ada, Oklahoma.   Shelby wore angel wings while here on earth and has now gained her heavenly angel wings.  She would always say, “to have faith and to trust in His plan”.  Shelby was a member of the Oak Avenue Baptist Church of Ada.

Those left to live with her memories are her parents, Scott and Angie Gentry of the home; one brother, Colton Gentry and Presley Kirkwood of Konawa; one niece, Everley Mae Gentry of Konawa; and one nephew, Cooper Scott Gentry of Konawa; grandmothers, Eston Gentry of Konawa, and Ann Russ of Sacred Heart; fiancé, Connor Auld of Konawa; uncle, Steven Gentry and wife, Kari of Konawa, aunt, Jennifer Matthews and husband, Kenneth of Konawa, aunt, Annette Villines and husband, Bobby of Edmond, Oklahoma; and aunt, Amy Eropkin and husband, Mike of Maud, Oklahoma; numerous cousins, other family, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Gentry and her “Nandad”, Archie Russ.
