Sheila Renna Harjo

Sheila Renna Harjo, age 54 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away February 25, 2025 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at Center Cemetery near Pickett, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are her cousins, Adam and Brian Hill, Seth Leland, Bo Honsinger, Donnie Payne, and Gary Payne. Honorary bearers are her uncle, Donnie Hill, Mark Stoup, Brandon Stoup, and Dwight Butler. 

Sheila was born August 26, 1970 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Bob Harjo and Carol Sue (Kuestersteffen) Heard. She graduated from Konawa High School in 1988. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from East Central University of Ada, Oklahoma in 2004. She was of the Baptist faith, and she loved going to concerts, shopping, bow hunting, and getting pedicures. She loved being “Nana” to all of her grandchildren.

She is survived by partner, Bruce McCraw of the home; her father, Bob Harjo and step-mother, Vickey of Elizabeth, Colorado; two daughters, Kirsten Garza and Hailey Lloyd, both of Ada, Oklahoma; three sisters, Leslie Light of Wichita Falls, Texas, Cheri (Harjo) Dobbs and Carrie (Harjo) Galaway, both of Elizabeth, Colorado; four grandchildren, Payton, Carson, Brooklyn, and Aria; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Sue Kuestersteffen; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Minnie Harjo; and her maternal grandparents, James Tillman and Elsie (Cooley) Heard.
