Scott Crown Parker, Seminole, OK resident passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 71. Scott was born on April 22, 1953 in Elmhurst, IL to Richard Ashley Parker Sr. and Georgia Ann (Thomas) Parker. He married Diane Schofield on June 11, 1988 in San Diego, Ca. He spent most of his life in Southern California and in May 2024 Scott and Diane moved to Seminole, OK.
Scott enjoyed technology, politics, singing and music. He loved his kids to pieces. He had a special gift of kindness and caregiving when those around him needed it. Scott had the magic touch with his grandchildren when they were babies. He was talented at fixing things around the house and he passed this skill on to his daughter, Jennifer. Both of his children became singers and musicians. When he was young, around 1963, his parents were selling their house in Bel Air and with a knock on the door a 10 year old Scott opened the door to greet Elvis Presley. In January 2022 Scott finally got to see Mt. Rushmore, a trip he greatly treasured. Another skill he took great pride in was his driving and he considered himself quite the “wheelman”.
Scott is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane Parker; son, Brian Parker of Glendale, AZ; daughter, Jennifer Parker of Ada, OK; brother, Richard Parker of Dallas, TX; sister, Andrea Humphrey and her husband, Barry of Yucatan, Mexico; two grandchildren, Runa Erim and Solomon Erim and many other family and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
